Overall, the food was relatively enjoyable and the atmosphere was great. I really like how they've remodeled the place. However, portion sizes were underwhelming and pricey. It cost something like an extra $6 for a piece of salmon smaller than half the palm of your hand to be added to my salad. The salad that my dining partner ordered looked very good, but was portioned more like a side than the entree it was advertised as. On the upside, the papillon that some woman brought into and walked around the interior of the restaurant for a good 45 minutes was really cute.

Stopped there for lunch. We ordered 3 different burgers. I had the Connie Mack burger. The service was slow. Beautiful view of the lake, the place looks new and nice. The food was good, but the burgers- all ordered medium were all very dry- what you get when a dumb cook who stands over the burger swishing it down on the grill- really dry! No rave review here, but not bad. They did make a great Bloody Mary.

LOUD!!! I will start by saying the place is very very loud. Drinks were decent size but limited selection of wine and beer. Ordered the scallops and potato which were just OK. Also ordered a cheese burger which was also just OK. Will probably give another try on a summer night/afternoon when we can sit outside. Would not return and sit inside do to the noise.

I traveled from Dallas TX on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find 308 Lakeside! After a welcome greeting, I enjoyed a nice drink and wonderful meal at the bar. Food was great and service (By Tammy and others) was even better. Certainly I will stop by 308 Lakeside on my next trip to New England.

We returned to 308 on a warm evening to see how things are going. Two couples were walking in as we were parking the car and were still waiting to be approached at the hostess stand when we walked in. "The hostess will be with you in a minute" was shouted by a waitress as she walked by. The two ladies in the group chuckled at this. The waitress returned about a minute later and seated the four of them. We then waited until the hostess with drink in hand and chatting away with friends (I first thought she was walking out of the building but when she put her drink down on the hostess stand I realized who she was) was interrupted by me asking to be seated. Her friends then left. We were seated outside on the deck. Quite lovely. The mosquitoes were present but it is summer on a lake. Our waitress, Sarah was great. Prompt, attentive and suggesting menu items. 5 stars for her; she is a keeper. We had a restaurant made apple crisp that was worth the $7 in taste and in serving. It was lightly flavored with nutmeg, We will return for this. The drinks and beers were well priced and served well. There was a good selection of bottled and draft beers offering something for everyone. We noticed that the interior walls now have sound dampeners installed and although the restaurant side had only 4 tables of patrons, the sound level was barely noticeable.

I have been to this restaurant atleast 4 or 5 times. First and foremost, they did a great job with the remodel...very well done...it's a casual and very comfortable atmosphere. The food is very good...I've never had a bad meal and have tried something different each time. I have to say that my only complaint is the two hostesses. They are NOT friendly at all! Rather than being greeted with a friendly smile and a "hello"....nothing! They look at you without a smile...lead you to your seat very slowly and barely say two words... I always feel as if we're bothering them just by simply walking into the restaurant. Its rather uncomfortable until you're finally seated. Very odd. The waitresses are very friendly...always on their game. All in all it's great place. I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I have been once, shortly after they opened. We may give them another try because the food was acceptable. My issues were getting recognized as having been seated, and the noise level. It took 12 minutes for the server to ask for our drink order, and it was 42 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we had our food. If they hang some sound deadening panels or some other means of reducing the resonance, this will be a really nice place. I'm sure that by now the kitchen gets orders out faster, and hopefully service is smoother.

This is our second time here. The first time we did appetizers and beers. I had a draft beer my glass was nice and cold. My girlfriend's beer was in a bottle, when she asked for a glass she received a spotlessly clean one, but it was hot out of the dishwasher. Our appetizers were very good, the fried calamari was hot, crispy, and fresh. The chipotle dipping sauce is very good. The calamari is also served with deep fried sliced cherry chili peppers. These are crispy, and spicy but needed a dipping sauce of their own to cool down the spicy a bit. We also ordered the tempura chicken tenders, don't let chicken tenders throw you off, these are very crispy, tender, and flavorful depending on what sauce you get them coated in, we got the teriyaki which was perfectly balanced. Our second visit we tried the Christmastini, so yummy. We also had an East Brookfield burger each, I ordered mine medium rare with provolone and bacon, she ordered the same burger with American cheese and caramelized onions, well done. Both burgers were cooked perfectly. We substituted Black and Tan onion rings on one order , fries on the other. The fries were crispy and hot, just like the delicious onion rings. Then we had the gingerbread with whipped cream, very fresh delicious and not overly sweet. The perfect end to a great meal.

I have been 3 times and have had great meals every time and I've ordered a variety of food. Staff was very friendly and responsive. I've had a variety of wines, all being very tastey. I would not hesitate to go again!!!
